Every property is self check-in, so you arrive when it suits you. The Edinburgh apartments use a secure digital keypad, and Stirling and Ayr use a lockbox. Your code is sent before you arrive and changed after every stay. Check-in is from 3pm and checkout is by 11am. Early check-in or late checkout is sometimes possible, so just ask.
The Stirling flat comes with a designated private parking space. The Ayr house has off-street parking for up to three cars. Our two Edinburgh apartments sit in the New Town, where parking is paid on-street and controlled by the council, so please check local signage before you leave the car.
Dogs are welcome at the Ayr house. The Edinburgh apartments and the Stirling flat are not set up for pets.
Yes. The Auld Haystore and The Cobbled Corner are next door to each other, each with its own private entrance. Subject to availability, you can book both and keep everyone together while still having separate space. Message us and we will check the dates across the pair for you.
The Stirling flat is on the ground floor. In both Edinburgh apartments the bedroom and bathroom are on the first floor, reached by an internal staircase, so they are not suitable for guests with reduced mobility and we do not recommend them for children under six. If you are unsure which home suits your group, ask us and we will tell you straight.
You get the same home, the same code and the same hosts. What changes is that you deal with us from the first message to checkout, with no platform fee added on top of the nightly rate, and we can do things a listing site simply cannot, like holding both Edinburgh apartments for one group.
Check-in is from 3pm and checkout is by 11am. Every property is self check-in, so once your arrival window opens you can let yourself in whenever suits, whether that is mid-afternoon or late at night after a long drive. Your entry details are sent before you arrive. Early check-in or a late checkout is sometimes possible depending on the bookings either side of yours, so just ask and we will do what we can.
Our cancellation terms are shown clearly before you book and confirmed in your booking confirmation, so you always know where you stand before you pay. If your plans change, message us. Because you are booking direct with the hosts rather than through a platform, we can talk to you like a person about your options rather than pointing you at a policy page. The sooner you let us know, the more we can usually do.
